My Father has just pastaway leaving me with his s reg Freelander diesel it has 99000 on the clock full main dealer service history in first class condition, I have a Disco 2 and Citreon c3 the Disco is used to tow our twin wheel caravan so that has to stay plus it's my baby, do I sell Citreon and keep Freelander or other way round, what sort of mpg should I get from Freelander?.
Trev.

The Freelander is cheaper to fix than the Citroën if you DIY? Will probably need more fixing though!!
Mpg should be around 35.
Obviously in bad weather, the Freelander shows its worth ;)

Sorry for your loss Trev.

Mine's s reg and its a keeper (petrol) - don't think I would swap it for anything ..but it depends on what you want out of a car.

Don't forget the freelander can tow 2 tons so the caravan probably won't be a problem.....

I meant that a twin axle caravan is probably still 300 kgs under max weight for the freelander...... I realise the disco will pull more....
