Hi everyone, just wanted to say how much of a great forum this is. I recently bought my 3rd freelander (now on a TD4 after owning K and L series) and as a non member the forum has helped solved problems with all three. So i thought i would join to say thanks.
just wondered what other members thought of the dc100 concept? Does anyone else think it doesn't do the defender justice.

Welcome and do a quick search. Been discussed quite a bit. Its no defender just another option.

The defender can't be built in europe soon due to pedestrian safety etc but it can be made in india,mexico and shipped in. Dont be surprised if they do that

Its a shame i think land rover will miss a huge opportunity to actually redesign the defender i have seen some great concept ideas drawn by college students and other designers. I know its just not practical to build any design especially with safety regulations. I think a lot of farmers and other people who require utility 4x4's will go for hilux's and ford rangers now.
