hi all great site,i have just got my first disco 93' 2.5tdi but i have not found the jack or any tools, am i just unlucky or do they hide them out of sight, just one more thing is mine a 300 or a 200 cheers all:rolleyes:

welcome to Looneyzone.

jack n stuff should be on n/s behind headlight (like wot the battery is ont offside).

if it aint there - and most arent - yu int got one:(.

i got my first disco 12 months ago , after first puncture found the jack but the oil seal had gone. bought a 2 ton bottle jack from screwfix and this fits in the designated spot under the bonett, but had to make and adaptor to fit between jack and jack points similar to the head of the land rover jack.
Lot cheaper than new land rover jack

Dont like bottle jacks, remind me of scissor jacks. :|

Get yourself a decent trolley jack, they just fit under the rear of front seats and worth it. Clarke's jacks are good, halfrauds are too.

The spanners provided at factory bend and in my opinion are too short. Get an extendable wrench and 27mm socket from your local car shop. Again small and easy to use/store. If you have alloys, get a deep impact 27mm. Cos short sockets will wreck the caps if they aint solid ones.

thanks for all your advice,i think i will get a trolly jack and just stick it straight in the boot, then find myself a good spanner+socket cheers all
