They have raided fuel company offices to get hold of there price fixing records, we all knew they were at it!

There might be big fines but I doubt we will see any of it and I bet there isn't any prison time

i should imagine it's a little bit more complex than that, but it shouldn't be

that depends if they work out who is avoiding fuel duty on mileage relevent to recored mileage at time of m.o.t there could be a backlash for those that do for a start not to think on how many litres of fuel are wasted on filterchange that could be accountable for also....
 
This is why the recent investigation into fuel prices only looked at retailers and pump prices. That is not where the fiddling goes on, and Ministers will not want to upset their friends in the oil companies. Notice that nothing has been done about the banker's dishonesty either.
