Found the source of my annoying water loss problem, its leaking out from between the timing case and the block at the front of the engine just below where the thermostat housing is. Originally i thought it was leaking frolm the thermostat housing, but its not, i then thought the head gasket, which is also in taht area, but thats fine too. I can't understand how water could be leaking from this position. Anyone else seen this problem? It looks like i will have to remove the whole timing case which is ballache, can only think the block may be cracked behind it. Photos below but it very difficult to see, not easy to photograph.
