So i went to the disco yesterday morning turned the key and hey presto sod all, tried again and thebloody thing turned over albeit very slowly then sprang into life ,problem is im a bit confuzzled i know the battery and alternator are good because i've just had them checked by the fitter at work, could it possibly be an earthing fault or something else any suggestions greatly appreciated...........

Usual suspects, earthing strap to the body, cables to the engine and starter.

Small link wire between the stater solenoid and the starter itself.

You could also have one of the four brushes in the starter stuck in its holder.

Crystal ball time again. Did the engine remobilise or did it fail to crank?? and what's the model?.
