I know, I have read it myself. A BBC news article started this off within the family earlier....the reporter was definitely saying that ALL vehicles needed insurance. And a colleagues sorn'd vehicle was recently taken from a pub carpark on the grounds that it had no insurance. The police were contacted and THEY were certainly of the view that ALL vehicles ,sorn or not, needed insurance.
Which is why I am a bit confused and rather upset....since,as I mentioned,I have previously been held liable when given wrong info by DVLA. On top of that, I got fined for a gap in tax/sorn because DVLA said that they didnt recieve my sorn application (pre online service) and that it was my responsibility to keep sending applications to them until I got a confirmation letter. The court supported this view and I was duly fined.
So,if I sound like a bit of an idiot that hasnt read his own link......I have good reason to be very suspicious and for jumping to erroneous conclusions. I freely admit to be more than a bit of an idiot.........
