i have a 98 300TDi so mine must be worth more ???
When i asked for agreed valuations before for other vehicles i have had to get it properly valued and inspected bya company, cost about £80,
I had problems a few years ago when someone went in to the back of my landy(110csw) i got told it was pratically worthless and then an engineer told me it was in fair condition for a land rover, WTF it was almost 18 years old perfect door(all 5) and bulkhead B post and drove great, they told me trade value was about £1400. so they were told to ffff off. Then when an other engineer contacted me who knew about land rovers, after a chat all the repairs were carried out no probs and he said it sounded a good un, (i always keep recipts for all the parts i fit) When i traded it in 2 years later i got a lot more back than what they offered,
Basically what i am saying is that the prices for a 300TDi vary from A couple of K up to about 7k depending on condition, But the argument i had with an insurance company is who's market value are they going on, Some garages just see an old land rover and think its worthless.
So if you want an agreed value, get it inspected and approach the insurance companies with the offical valuation and cover your arse
