i do believe mine is dead flue is getting to the banjo bolt inlet to the pump but not out the back into the injector feed pipes. is three anything i can do to test it, or to fix it? if not and its time for a new ( second hand ) pump, what should i be looking for? are they all the same or are they model specific? mine is a 300tdi manual on an N plate, 95 i think. cheers in advance for any help.

Fuel shut off solenoid buggered or no power getting to it?

New solenoid is about 10 quid, newly overhauled pump about 600 quid. Check carefully! The 300tdi turbo solenoid is a bit of a bugger to get off as it has anti tampering cover on it! I think it may be quicker to take the pump off to replace it if it is this type ( appears square or rectangular not round.) This is not a quick job.
