Hi folks, am halfway through getting my 200tdi engine back together after the outer crank pulley came loose and destroyed my front woodruff key. I have got the cambelt off, repaired the crank and i am about to get the new crank pulley and cambelt back on (when the parts finally arrive) Anyway i was checking all of the pulleys etc were as left...and the injection pump seems to have moved a few teeth but i cannot get it back into position, in hindsight is sounds like i should have pinned it in place but i need to get it back to its old position to ensure that it runs nicely. Should it just turn back by hand? Do i need to rotate itclockwie back to the correct position? any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers

so get the crank and cam to the original position? if so they are there now, but need to adjust the pump pulley. Am guessing i could use the belt to move it back?

Theres loads of adjustment in the slotted adjustment holes son the pulley, move it back a tooth then loosen the three bolts and retime it.

thats what i am struggling with, i have turned the pulley to as close to the original position as possible, then it just spins past, can anyone post me a pic of where to put the pin? I take it it dont need to remove the 3 bolts to put the pin in place?

the pin will want to be inline with center top of pump you will need to hold it with a spanner on large nut
