Hi All. I've recently purchased a 2012 110 XS Utility and whilst I'm really pleased with it I'd like to 'soften the ride'!!! I was hoping someone could advise the best way (other than filling the back with bags of cement!) of softening the ride. I don't take it off road that much and don't carry much weight so the general 'about town' ride quality is what I need to improve for the sake of my spine!!!! Any advice / help / recommendations for suspension kits etc would be welcomed.
Thanks
Terry

Softer springs someone must do a kit.

What's springs does it have? Heavy duty ones?

It just has the standard, factory fitted ones as far as I can tell!

use the link paul put up to work out what springs you have, as if you have the HD ones you can swap them for standard which are more comfortable.

if you have the standard already fitted then, err... sell it an buy a focus for pootling about town in or live with it. its meant to be a working car.

The rear springs will be pretty hard , and the back end will be up in the air , as the station wagon used to have soft springs and a boge hydramat self leveler . Then as a cost cutting measure they did away with the boge unit , and fitted the current springs , which are a compromise . The best solution would be fit the old (with boge) spec springs , and fit air springs inside them . Then you can adjust to suit the load , if and when you load up . HTSH

Maybe the dampers are a bit fierce as well, so don't forget them. No point having soft springs if the shock absorbers won't allow them to compress quickly.
