It can be in one of two places.
Start by removing the front drivers seat, you may be able to access the unit, it sits under the carpet there, however if your vehicle was built overseas then it may have originally been destined for the foreign market and as such the unit will be under the front passenger seat.
You should see a small black box with several black wires going to it.
Once you have located it, let me know and we can carry on

Good luck and of course welcome

Right I'll expand on my previous post.
Ive had my landy 4 yrs . I lost the keys 2 yrs ago. There was one for the door and one for the ignition. The door one was a fob type and the ignition was a plain type. I got the key code from the dealers but there was only one code as there had no record of the barrel being changed. Now got a used barrel and keys. Auto elec tried to code new keys but immobiliser not responding so it has to come out so he can code it directly. Any help?.oh and doors are superlocked so access is through Widows only

Think you need to message Sierafery for advice
I don't think the Discovery II has a removable immobiliser
Think it could be sorted via Nanocom
What was your Auto electrician using?

He had numerous plug in devices. Used 4 different types. Only one had disco 2 software. Software couldnt comunicate with immobiliser. Thinks it might be wiring problem
Car been stood a while.

Sounds as if he was using OBDII readers.
Need LR specific, NANOCOM should sort you out as I said speak to Siera
Don't know your location in case you're near someone with the correct diagnostic

Im in telford. Shropshire. Need it back on the rd by end sept when tax runs out on other car.so all help appreciated. :)

if that electrician told you that the immobiliser on a D2 must ''come out'' find another, also you dont need a tetser to comunicate with the immobiliser cos there's no such thing... the tester must comunicate with the BCU and by selecting the proper menu it will sync the key or disable the immobiliser or what ever you want... find somebody who has the proper tester and especially the ''know how'' for a D2... if right now the vehicle is immobilised get the EKA code from a main dealer and remobilise it, then it will comunicate with the tester cos as long as it's immobilised it won't

Thanks sierrafery. He was an auto locksmith.got eka code but need door lock picking so I can fit new lock so can eka it. Gonna try someone else. Thanks again for the advice. Thank you also biggeeeee.

@sierrafery & @biggeeeee immobaliser sorted..got door opened and started first time..immob must have been bypasted when barrel changed... sorting out mechanics now should be on the road in a cpl of weeks.. thanks again for the previous advise.
