Jumped in the motor this morning to take the rangie to work and ALL the windows,sunroof and leccy mirrors decided they didn't want to play - it hasn't stopped raining long enough for me to check fuse 1 under the seat yet but I fear this isn't the problem as the clock is still working
Bloomin windows were fine yesterday :mad:
All this on top of an ongoing problem I'm having with the drivers side front airbag - I changed the fronts a couple of weeks ago and ever since the o/s front goes down quicker than it did with the old bags in ! :confused:
I have done leak tests till I am blue in the face and changed the airline from the bag back to the valve block and still it goes down
Me and him are going to have to have a serious "chat" this weekend
Bet it's because I made him pull some tree stumps out today and he got all muddy ! :rolleyes:

Has the window switch pack got wet at all?? Sounds very much like anohter dead switch pack :(

who's Kenny? you or the R/rover?

only reason i ask is if you talk to him how do you get his attention in a crowd!:)

I'm Kenny - the RR gets called lots of things depending on it's behaving !
Do you mean you don't talk to yours ? - how strange :p

Wills - I fear you may be right but I will check fuses/feed first and take it from there
 
Well looks like a dead switch pack - pulled it apart and it appears to be full of coffee ! :eek:
Replacement on way from Alan at range rover heaven
While in there I noticed inside the consul that there is a white two part plug in there that is not connected together - two wires running to/from each half, one purple/white and one purple/blue - anyone know what they are for ?
Don't want to just plug them together and see if anything happens ! :)

Can you take a photo of this??

The lamp connector for the rear footwell lamp looks like this...

This sounds like what you are referring to but it shouldnt be in two halves!

It looks a bit like that Wills - one half comes from under the gear selector panel and the disconnected end seems to disappear rearwards somewhere
I will try to either get a photo sorted or try and trace where it goes to
Wonder why it had been disconnected ? :confused:
 
Oh im obviously having a thick moment and thought you meant the connector had been damaged and was in two halves.

When you open the doors does a lamp in the rear footwell come on?? It will be underneath the centre console. Its just below the rear air vents. If not thats most likely why. Someone may have just unplugged it if something was being replaced or something.

Can't say I've noticed a rear footwell light but I will check to see if it comes on before and after I put the plug back together
BTW Wills - where's the photo you promised me ? :)

i'll take one tomorrow, my RR is completely filthy though and I was going to wait until it was clean but i'll post it up tomorrow :D
