Following on from a previous thread about how all the posts are about faults I thought I would make a posertive thread
Now after coming from an e36 and then modded 380bhp e46 m3 I took a funny step and went to a 5.7 Chevy pick up and then a lifted Disco with all the trimmings. Following the recent discovery that my misses is with child I took the "grown up" step of selling my Kawasaki zx10r and getting something more sensible
Here enters my Range Rover
I saw a stunning condition 96 4.6 HSE on autotrader, so off I went with the lady and she just blew me away (the car that is) She had full service history recent new bags, dampers and a service in the last 100 miles. All reciepts and every MOT the car has ever had.
Then the guy confess the milage is not as advertised, he had misread it and it wasn't 67k but 60k! Result
She has a few little scuff marks here and there but nothing major, enterior is emaculate, and a part from my iffy accumulator she is tiptop
I can't get over how smooth she drives, it is so relaxing compared to the constant drama that was my M3, I hated autos but in this it just suits the car so well. The engine is smooth and sounds awsome with more than enough poke for a car of that size.
All the electrics and toys just adds to the feeling of opulance and the fact she is also a very capable offroad (with a change of shoes) just tops it off for me.
So basically I am chuffed to bits, yes it may need to check an ecu or 7 to see if you can move your sun visor and the astounding 12.5mpg on the computer is offsetting a few do-gooder hippies but that doesn't both me a jot.
All for £4250!
Simply the best car I have owned, so forget your gremlins and remember why we put up with them
And cheers for all the help that you guys have given me so far
