I recently joined so thought I'd best follow procedure and stick up a 'Hello' thread!
I've just bought myself a red 1989 Defender 90 with a 300 TDI conversion at some point in it's life. Chassis is clean as a whistle, however last weekend I discovered the head gasket is gone. I thought it was a leaky injector at first (hence I continued with the purchase) but alas, my brain didn't click quick enough!
I cant drive it yet ... I'm still to get a full driving licence! However I've been riding motorbikes for the last 7-8 years ... The winter just gone has finally pushed me into sorting a cage out! Plus, always fancied a Defender!
I'm pretty good with spanners, worked on hundreds of various cars, bikes, trucks and buses so got a reasonable knowledge of the basics at least, though I will always always take advice and willing to learn!
Not sure what else to put in here, but just thought I'd best be polite
