Gone but not forgotten
Since last weekend at Eastnor I seem to have dislocated the top of both my rear springs.

For the idiots amongst us (that would be me). How do I safely and easily reseat the springs.

Thanks.

Hi lift jack and a big bit of 4x2 for pushing em back in the right direction would be my method(obviously dont put your hands anywhere near em whilst its jacked up unless you know its solid) or take it somewhere you get some really good articulation going on and keep checking after each axle twister

Id just jack it up and take weight off axles and give em a kick (flat foot) or hit with wood or something then drop back on ground all should be gravy

I hit mine with a big stick i found.

Dislocation cones £30 wont happen again!

Make sure you buy spring compressors though!

Thanks for the advice.
Did it, 10 min job and most of that was jacking it up and down. They just popped back in with a little shove.

Dislocation cones are next on my shopping list. Any thoughts on which I should go for? Top or bottom?

TIA

Bottom cones work much better, when the springs are fixed to the axle and dislocate at the top they move away from the mounts and make allot of noise going back in and if the go too far will still not go back!
Where as bottom dislocation cones relocate oh so much better as the springs are mounted to the chassis and stay straight.

This is similar to what I brought, there is a cone for the bottom and 2 part clamp for the top
