Hi,

if i come to change camshaft bearings, how is it done? Thanks!

sorry It's 1999 V8 HC with ~100K miles

200tdi 300tdi td5 tdv6 or v8

guessing its a 300 then to change these you neen to drift out the old ones then drift in new ones but you need to be carefull not to chip them i had a pice of pipe the corect size about 2" and there are 2 types some need reaming out to the size of the camshaft and some come ready finished and there is a core plug on the back of the engine to help with the rear 2

Thanks! I forgot to mention it's 4l V8
Do you know if there's maybe a manual with pics/photos on that? Getting to that core plug, does that mean I'm taking the engine out and disassembling completely? I would ideally want to do it in the simplest way...

Also, what happens if the bearings are worn and I only replace the camshaft? does it make sense, or is it pushing the inevitable a bit further away?
