Have you removed the stay that holds the top of the column to the bulkhead?
It connects to the column directly behind the speedo and bolts to a lug on the bulkhead above the vent-flap adj the wiper-box.
Done! What a pita.. Can be done but as previously said the brake master cylinder and pedal need to be unbolted and pushed out of the way. That's half a job off the list
I have this job to do - trying to get my head round what i need to do so i can plan my time off when i get home.
i guess the full list goes like -
shroud off , dash out ,
drill out steering lock shear bolts
remove brake pedal box (i need to change my servo and master cylinder anyway so i guess i can do that at same time)
remove the steering ujs
remove steering wheel
remove switch gear
undo the tie back strut from the bulkhead
undo the lower bearing support
remove column ,
reverse for assembly ?
Any tips ? any projections on time (bearing in mind this was all assembled less than 8 months ago so unlikely to encounter stuck bolts - wish id just renewed the column then !
