if the sensor on the dryer has gone then will replacing it need a regas?

Gonna nick ya thread for a minute... in know this has been covered many times but i cant find the previous threads.... how do ya re sync a key fob after changing the batteries?

you tit! its easy, put key in lock, press lock and turn to lock.

can anyone tell me if the dual pressure switch on the aircon dryer is connected to pressure, i.e if i undo it will i need to regas my aircon?

Rave says Yes.
My system was already empty when I changed mine but I have read a post on here some time ago which said No.
Try just cracking it open to see if gas leaks out to be sure.

rave says there is an o ring so i assume there is pressure there, just jumpered the wires to the pressure switch and fans kicked in, can i rig another type of switch in, maybe a radiator fan switch. or at worse even just a switch in the cabin? i'd like to use aircon but dont want to kill engine or loose the 50 quids worth of gas in there just yet!!!

Seems like mine is doing the same, if you guys come up with a solution then i will be more than happy to have a go at the by pass, but i am useless with leccy stuff

is it running hot when air con is on? i coonected a jump lead to battery earth and alternator bolt and temp went down, take it off temp goes up!!!

yes john, the earth lead affects temp guage!! wacky or what, gonna put a bit more earth cable on me thinks!!!

Might take the earth off the fuel tank gauge...might get more mpg!!!
Seriously though, the earth cables are sturdy enough..remove the fixing bolt/nut and make sure that the contact areas are clean first, reassemble, and then carry out your test again.
