I have been loaned a Series landy that needs some minor bits and bobs doing. As a Landy virgin I not quite sure which series it is. Its an old J reg (1971 I think), Petrol, SWB. How can I tell which series it is

Then if you're still stuck post some pics. Going by the age yours will either be a IIa or a III. Main differences are the headlights, dash, windscreen hinges and sills.

If its a gen 71 it should be a 2a...post a picture.
