first of all sorry for all this guys lol the bonnet closes and catches but does not seem to go down as far as it should and stay thus inside BONNET OPEN i assuming theres something can be adjusted to bring it right down?

theres a micro switch on the drivers side bonnet catch, rather than adjustment on the bonnet i would say the latch is not engaging properly. take the latch of the car and give it a good clean and regrease, test the switch while its off but i reckon it will be ok after a clean. they get filled with crap and dont work as smooth as they should with age, i cleaned mine the other day because the lever in the car was getting hard to pull, after the clean its back to being nice and easy.

the lever pulls fine and when you push bonnet down it gets the first click then another push clicks it in place as it should but its too high how do i remove the lever etc will the cable not fire into the chassis or something?

its an easy job, two bolts to undo then take the latch out the back near the battery. the cable cant go no were so dont worry about that, dont forget to unplug the wiring to that latch before ripping it of:doh:.
the only adjustment you got is on the bonnet on the spring to pull it in tighter but that wont help if its not tripping the switch when it shut.

you can adjust the stops i think, not really looked, the microswitch is on the drivers side of the two latches!
