Hi

Got the HK Stereo in my Disco want to change to aftermarket head unit, its the Alpine head. Has anyone done it and is there a harness ytou need as appears to be too many plugs for my aftermarket head unit?

You will need a patch lead suitable to retain the remote steering wheel controls and provide the pre amplified output from the Alpine head unit to your existing HK amplifer.

All good ICE suppliers will be able to provide a patch lead, ie. Autoleads Amplifier Wiring Kits, Autoleads Steering Wheel Interfaces & Accessory

Spoke with that company and several others who state that there is no such lead and I will need to rewire to bypass the HK system

Rewire?? system?? after you removed the headunit all that's left is the amplifier and from that the loadspeakers.
