Hi, I am new to the forum and to Land Rovers, so I have a lot to learn. I have just brought a Land Rover Discovery TD5, T plate. Already the horn has stopped working and the SRS light stays on. I used to work on cars with my dad so have a little experience but he is no longer around to help.

I live in Wales so I needed a 4x4 that would work in the winter as we have been snowed in the last 3 years. I guess that is what you get from living on the side of a valley.

Rotary coupler would be the guess

I have checked the fuse which is ok, as yet I have not tried the relay or tested the voltage output at the horn which is my next test. Also there is some corrosion on the battery earth terminal that I need to clean up.

Do you know if I can use any of the other relays as a test?

if you have a look at rotary coupler it is common connector of both systems

thanks you were correct it is the rotary coupler as I spoke to the old owner today as I needed to collect the old key and he confirmed he used to hit the steering wheel if the horn stopped.

I will be replacing asap.
