Hi folks, i'm new on here ( well i was a member some years ago, but can't remember my login ....doh! )
I've owned two range rovers, both classic's , the first was a great car even if it cost me alot of dosh over the 6 years i had it ( gearbox, suspension and engine) .... the second one did well enough for the 4 years i owned it, i loved driving them both .
But the lure of a 300 TDI ES Disco was too much, and despite what i was told by those who advised me at the time , she has been ultra reliable for the 11 years we've been together, only costing me the usual sevice items and tyres and battery in that time.
She has 200,000 on the clock now and because of illness and lack of funds this last couple of years i've done very little to her..... and it's starting to show.
No longer pristine and definately in need of some love and work from me, i thought i'd better get back on here and use your collective knowledge to help me get her back to her reliable self.
I don't want or need a body lift.... or want to burn off hatchbacks at the lights..... just need my car to carry on going over fields and farm tracks, carry straw bales , Dogs, chicken /goat food and the weekly Sainsburys run.
But having said that i'm very inspired by Mr Noisey and Greenhornet by what they have done to there cars.
Hope one day i can be as much use to you,as some of you have been to me so far.
