Our passenger side blend motor isnt working (It wasnt when we got the car but it wasnt a problem that it was stuck on HI in January!)

Checked all fuses and relays - all are fine. Stripped out the passenger side to gain access. The lever wont move at all so we have removed the blend motor. Taken the cover off and the motor is free, not siezed or burnt at all. It's almost as if there is no power getting to the motor to turn it - Any advice at all?...anyone had anything similar? did you come up with a solution? Any advice gratefully received!

You can't move the lever with the motor attached, now you have taken it off, can you move the lever now??

I took my passanger motor off, and cable tied the lever in the hot position, so now when I want heat I close the drivers vents and open the passangers, and went I want it cold, I close the passanger vents and open the drivers...simples....

But I really must get them replaced.....

The motor is off and the lever will move freely now. I want this sorted once and for all - It's such a faff to get in there I dont want to have to do it too often!

It's not just the motor, it's also the potentiometer that tell's the HEVAC where the blend flap is positioned that causes problems. With the motor assembly off you should be able to make it move with the temperature buttons. Better still, treat yourself to a Nanocom which will allow you to force the motor to move if it's not dead and calibrate a new one. It will also allow you to read the HEVAC faults. The fault could be in the HEVAC ECU
