Have been reading ever since buying a Freelander and its about time I said hello
This has to be somewhere around the 40th car Ive had (I get bored easily!) this replacing a Saxo VTR, which replaced a Merc CLK which replaced (I think) a Vectra SRi...
Did all the 'usual' checks, everything worked as it should
I mean its a 1.8 Freelander, the ones that go bang regularly right? Head had already been sorted by Land Rover, its come from someone we know and with loads of receipts.....but what I didnt check, yes that little black 'thing' hidden underneath
A recent test shows.....I need a new VCU
so tomorrows job is dropping the prop/vcu and draining the IRD oil to see how that looks
Heres a pic - yes...its a late (Dec) 51 which has had a retro-fit to 'new shape' bumpers and lights front and back
