Hi guys, I just bought a Disco TDi as standard other than decat and I just blanked the EGR.

I want to take it off roading so will be looking to add a 2 inch lift, 85 profile tyres, a few guards for diffs etc, a winch bumper and maybe a set of spots on top... that's the plan so far anyway.

Meanwhile I need to fix the electric windows as only the passenger one works and fit the new rear light cluster I ordered as it's taped up at the mo.

So that's what I'll be posting about for a while I reckon

You'll find this forum has a lot of p*** takers & lots of info that will be useful & some that won't.
I'd say drive it, break some things & then start spending money. Cos it will become a bottomless pit but you'll love it.

3 things that usually go with windows ,motors in door ,switches in panel not forgetting rear window isolater switch in middle ,and window ecu under dash passsenger side can be got at from underneathe,use switch from window that does work to test others, motors can be checked by proving they have switchable current to them if they have and dont work its motor,or you can remove motor and try them with working one plug

Update on how I'm getting on so far..

Rear windows fixed - soldered a dry joint on the window ecu.
Front windows both working now - combination of wiring and ecu.
Passenger door not locking via central locking - WD40 then 3in1
Rear wiper not working properly - nylon gear is stripped so need a new motor. Currently watching ebay for one.

Lots of help had on here so far and no doubt I'll need more!

Plenty more to do before I look at lifting it!
