I've a 1998 2.5 DSE which I've had for 2 years. Its been great except the battery died and I cant find the code. I had this problem before and had to give Landrover the Vehicle Number but also the serial number of the radio.

Just need to figure how to get the radio out to get the serial number off the back :-(

I took the faceplate off and tried to pull. There were 2 screws to the left and right which I removed. Is there a special tool to use or something?

or would anyone know a quicker way to get the code. I dont know what model. Its a factory fitted one as it says Landrover on it and had RDS Diversity

hi alan there are 2 holes where a tool goes in to realease the clips that secure the radio , but its possible to release the radio without the tool using a couple of thin screwdrivers or similar , its a little more awkward but not as bad as some .
