If they had checked everything they would've found the cause.

It is most likely one of these I mentioned.
It could also be the soliniod in the starter motor or the starter itself.
Give it back to them and get them to check it properly

No worries;)

Search on here before posting as collectively we have come across every fault with this motor over the years ;)

Happy Freelandering :D

If i had time for such things i'd have time to read the manual.....but thanks for that input!! I will go find another mechanic or a more helpfull forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'd certainly do well to find another mechanic but I doubt you'll find a more helpful forum.

Another mechanic is easily found.

As for a more helpful forum ..... good luck with that - when you find one, let me know. ;)

Caio,

Singvogel.

Did yu take it to a landrover specialist or to "a garage"?
What diagnostics did they use?
Did they check the coil packs?

If you don't know - find out.

i never relised they did courses just for gaylander owners ;):D

You'll find it listed between the Flower Arranging and the Hairdressing.

Alphabetical order F, G, H.

But there's a waiting list as the lecturers are too busy with the Advanced Further Intensive Tratter Welding Course. :p

That comes first under A.

well your ####ed now for your next issue you have, the brains on here are priceless. people tried to help you by getting more info. Is it too difficult to read the manual? Ive always dipped clutch starting every car, cold oil id thick. hmmm

You didn't even start with 1.8 or v6? Never bite the hand that feeds you, slagging off members here for not being polite is mechanical suicide.

Glad it was a simple fix, go and find another another more polite LR O forum and see if you get the same knowledge there. You'll be back here searching and finding. I promise you.
