I hope someone can help me, as i dont know how but have lost all sound from speakers. was working last night but it seemed that after putting phone back in charger i lost all sound,been all though manuals but cant find any reference to this. thanks

i had something similar happen when i replaced the cd player in mine,(disco), all the wiring was in place but the front speakers were not happening.
My mate who rewired it found a device under the dash that knocked out the speakers to enable the former owners in car mobile phone use, that was wired in a series with the head unit and speakers,he reckoned this was the problem, bypassed it and i got sound back, stereo stopped intermittantly bleeping too.
I don't know what trggered it to misbehave in the first place, not sure.

yeah was gonna say if you have a properly fitted phone thingy it might be faulty and sending a mute signal to the stereo constantly
