hi everyone ive got a 90 with a 200tdi in it, i was coming home yesterday and noticed a knocking noise whilst driving and it was grinding into reverse, my first thought was the clutch but would that cause a knocking noise? any advice please?

Dose the knocking noise only happen when breaking, coasting, or anything like that? Also is it a loud knocking sound? Sounds like a problem I had when I first got my 90. Have a look tomorow an let me know an we shall see if I can help you out bud
