2004 Range Rove L322 Vogue. Was running fine and started with aid of jumper cables because battery was dead. Replaced battery and now engine turns over but will not fire. Also key flobs will not work so have to lock/unlock with key. Tried to resync keys by ignition on and 5 sec and all that but no go at all. What vehicle?
Just changing a battery shouldn't get you into that state.

Sorry where did VW come into it? Oh my I am so thick at times. The T4 Van. lmao. No I was looking for the t$ software to reprogram. In struggling to see a link between a VW and a RR
When my p38 loses key sync, sometimes takes ages to resync, suggest patience and perseverance. Do you have a spare fob? Try that one
You asked if someone has a T4.. to me that's a VW! But I'm written off today, maybe going slightly potty tooSorry where did VW come into it?
Yes both keys are the same. It has been 48 hours now so I don't think any syncing is going on.
At least nothing else is going wrong with it while it wont start!
Tried that. It goes out of sync with the key does. There are meant to be 100 of them rolling and its got out of order. You asked if someone has a T4.. to me that's a VW! But I'm written off today, maybe going slightly potty too
If it were mine then I'd start again, disconnect the battery.. let it reset and start over. Though I've never worked on an L322, electrics can be funny on any car

Yes tried batteries in remote and tested that frequency is out put to correct levels etc. All work fine just need a way to re sync the ecu and the becm. Can only be does with a programmer.Sorry cant really help.
Not sure if this is any help taken from a 2007-2010 manual.
Have you been using the key to lock/unlock for a while? Have you checked batteries in the fobs?
Do you get any messages or flashing of the alarm light?
@backinblack may be able to help.

Never heard of the need to resync the engine on the L322, it doesn't have a BECM like the P38 it has a BCU.Sorry to ask but does anyone in East Devon have a T4 or equivalent please? I replaced my battery and now I need resync the engine ecu and the becm.
2004 Range Rove L322 Vogue diesel. Vehicle sat on drive way and no way to move it.
Thank you in advance.

The new batt has cca 95. The fuel pump was replaced last year. That's the one under the rear seats and the one under the vehicle on the left hand side as well (Which most people don't know exists).I've jumped mine a few times and disconnected the battery many more but have never had a problem.
As above is the new battery fully charged?
What size battery did you fit? Most recommend the MF31-1000.
Does it start with easy start? I've had a failed fuel pump cause a no start.
Fair enough, good luck getting it sorted.https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/l322-immobiliser-issue.307466/
Holidaychicken had the same issue.
No thank you for trying to help.Fair enough, good luck getting it sorted.

Do you think it could go out following a batt change and affect the key fobs? Do you test with a gauge? Pressure one that is?Mine was the high pressure pump (engine bay).
