My kid brother has bought a series 3 and wants to trail it, however the car will be off road only not tax or test as he can't drive on the roads. Is there a trial he can enter in it with?

What you need to look for is a CCV (Cross Country Vehicle) trial, as opposed to an RTV trial (Road Taxed Vehicle)

The other thing to consider is age. How old is he? I know many clubs don't allow younger drivers, The club I trial with won't allow trialing until you hold a licence, even though we only run CCV trials.

He's 18 but can't drive cos of medical reasons,
So have a look at my local club and c what they say?

Only way to be certain is to ask the clubs you want to trial at .. some allow kids from 13 onwards, some need a normal driving licence. I dunno (I doubt) if there are any 'rules' about it but ICBW ..

ye so long as its mot'd and taxed etc, they do go over them before every ervent, ensure you look at their regs, minimum lap belt, extinguisher, spill kit etc, worth it though good fun

Arr the motor isn't having a TNT as its just going off road, my brother can't hold a lisesnce cos of medical issues so no real point in getting it taxes ect...

Then you are looking for a CCV trial, no MOT's etc needed. You do need to talk to the club about license issues, as some clubs insist even though there is no legal requirement to have one.

i dont think you need a licence for it but i think you need to be 16 to drive 14 for passenger, but neds to have msa spec cage, and usual cutoff switches, protection belts etc.
