it is amazing what you can do in the back of beyond with a few twigs, piece of wire, non English speaking Bulgarians and Landy toolkit (club hammer)!

Well..............
started out at the top, coming in over Serbian border! and yes we are now in the Rhodope mountains at Smoljan. Tomorrow if Landy gearbox holds we will be at Black Sea, Ravda.

If you are, fair do's & you're obviously as mad as a box of frogs. How did you even get the Landy over the border into the country? It's a nightmare!

I am cheating by staying in a hotel with wireless connection. If anyone out this way and needs a hotel this one is very good and reasonably priced (cheap!) Hotel Luxor.

Honest no problems! Serbians Ok and Bulgarians even better. Less than 10mins to go through both including disinfecting Landy (Avian flu precaution I assumed!) compared to 2 hours both ends of Hungary, we were impressed.

Things must have changed since you last visited Bulgaria, as I am in my hotel room in Smoljan using the wireless network. I can recommend this hotel if you are out this way (Hotel Luxor, Hotel LUXOR, Smolyan, Bulgaria). Bulgaria is definately Landy country!
