hi guys and gals! im very interested in land rovers (defenders mainly!) and would very much like to get involved with off roading green laning etc, i live in the lake district but have no landy and would love to come and watch or sit in with people doing off roady stuff i dont know anyone who is interested in land rovers or green laning/off roading etc and have contacted local groups to try and get involved but have heard nothing back yet! im no scab i would contribute to diesel and would be willing to travel a few miles to come along! also i would be happy to help out in any way i can !! any offers or advice would be much appreciated...cheers jay

ps im a dry stone waller by trade so any nocked walls could easily be repaired also im city and guilds qualified in motor vehicle repair i dont work as a mechanic but im 3/4 trained so could lend a hand if anyone needs help with spannering!

i have heard off a few people that they are more hastle than they are worth thats why i was leaning towards getting a defender, aparently they are bad for welding bits back together and the rot etc... (suppose i should not say that on this site otherwise i might get a visit from the disco mafia!) but if i can find a good one i know someone with a garage willing to let me keep it there until i can get it on the road! i suppose i shouldnt listen to other people...i dont normaly
