Hi,
New to this forum and have a question, got a disco 1 3.5 v8i, changing engine to 3.9 efi will it run with 3.5 loom and brains?????

Buggered if I know, I drive a 90; best ask on the Disco board I reckon

Better asking on the Range rover board, or V8's...
From memory, depends what EFi system you have.
3.9's were all 'hot-wire', but most of the 3.5's were 'flapper', and they aren't compatible on the electronics.
Not sure if the last of the line 3.5's fitted into the dizzy were flapper or hot-wire though, MIGHT have been hot wire, in which case you may be OK...... but cant say for sure.

Cheers for that my friend, i still have all the old injection unit so is there a way of checking to see if my 3.5 is flapper or hot wire

Not having a disco I can't be sure, but would guess that the flapper is spring loaded & moves while the hot wire is static.
