Heated rear window doesnt work on the landy, and with winter approaching decided to do something about it....

Tried the fuse, but thats ok. Checked the actual grid on the rear window and found that to have continuity.

I did notice that when I switch on the heater that the light on the dashboard doesnt come on.

To me, that means that there are potentially 4 things left to check - either the relay, the switch, the earth at the rear door or the bulb on the dashboard.

Would the bulb on the dashboard cause the rear heated window not to work, before I start taking the dashboard apart?

No, the live to the dash light comes out of the relay with the thick white and black feed to the rear. Check that the relay is connected and that the diode on the earth is ok (mine broke and then I wired it the wrong way - took ages to work out!).

Also, it should only come on when the motor is running.

Worth checking the fuse and holder.
