Right I have done a search but didn't find anything,
My 1990 Disco 200TDi has had a headlight problem since I bought it on first inspection it l thought it was the silly bastid who wired in the spots and their penchant for adding wires and piggyback connectors took out at least 20 foot of needless wiring and removed the unneeded lights/wiring, so that It was back to basics
This morning I have solved the sidelight problem (no fuse at all removed a wire linking it to the sidelight that works)
Now my problem is that I the dip and main beam is not working properly I used a testlight on the fuses and could get a dull reading from the fuses whilst the engine is running nothing whilst ignition is on no light from mainbeam at all, flashers work as normal. If left for 5 mins with the engine running the lights work as normal

Now from my search I have found that the flasher bypasses the mainbeam/dip circuit but the fault IMO would point to a relay but if I have it right My Disco has no relay
So does this mean its the switch itself or am I missing something?
Hope this article doesnt fry brains couldnt think of how to explain it and tried to get as much detail as possible to help with diagnosis
