Hi

The nearside sealed beam headlamp on my 90 has given up the ghost so is in need of replacement, however i didn't know whether or not to take this opportunity to upgrade the headlamps?

I was just wondering if anyone would recomend upgrading the headlamps to the halogen ones from Britpart or Wipac etc. for the cost? or if anyone could recomend a better upgrade?

Many thanks

Josie:)

if you dont go for the upgrade get the non-sealed ones instead.

im not sure if this is correct, but if you blow a bulb in a sealed unit. your ****ed.

whats the cost of a single non-sealed headlight unit? i know the upgrades are around £40... suppose it depends on how long your planning to keep your landy and if its worth it or not ;)

sealed units dint got bulbs cos they are in effect a big bulb ... and thur illegal over here unless you want to carry a couple of spares around all the time.

they do still sell them;; even over here as i ordered a couple of lhd headlights and they sent sealed beams..****s... another case of trying to palm useless stuff off on the unsuspecting.. but int dint work.

they are cheap as chips , bout 7 quid or so.
but they dont fit in your emergency spare bulb box.
if you upgrade do both at the same time otherwise at night time you might find your self driving around in circles.

I put clear wipac headlamps in mine they did have the proper
E mark I got them from Paddocks about £38 ?
