Blown them both going through a ford! Should they be better waterproofed, is there anything to look for when I strip them down to put new bulbs in?

Hot lamps,cold water BAD,switch off before entering. Use sealead beams, roof lamps or torch.

As above - use sealed beams (light output isn't great though) or switch your lights off first!
