My fathers discovery td5 had the three amigos come on last night not only that also the brake warning light diff lock lights have come on to. Before infesting in a hawkeye would it diagnose the problem.
First of all you need to correct the issue, easiest method is to remove the front wheel sensors, clean up the hub/flat mating surface between the hub and sensor, remove the o ring on the sensor, pack with grease, reassemble then turn off the lights.
That should cure it for good.
I was told I would need new hubs as the bearings were shot, had them inspected and there was nothing wrong with the bearings. Did the above and apart from the odd occasion, the lights stay off, they only come on because someone has put on new sensor at one side trying to cure the issues and it chucks a fit once every 3 months!!
The hawkeye will just tell you it has dodgy signals from one or both sensors. That's because the air gap has grown with the rust around the sensor.
Don't be tempted to use the o ring as you will still get the error.
That should cure it for good.

Get it plugged in first to diagnose the problem but as gav said its more than likely a sensor, I had the same problem and had the lights reset a couple of times before i invested in a couple of new sensors i couldnt be arsed to clean the old ones up and find they were faulty its been fine since

Thanks for the quick reply will try that first. So I just just leave the o ring off the sensors all together then.

So can I plug it in to hawkeye or do I need to go the main dealers.

Hawkeye would show the faults recorded, They recon nanocoms better.

Yea leave the o ring off but pack the hole and around the sensor with greas to avoid it rusting in future.
As nathan says you can use new sensors but Im not one for replacing good parts if they don't need it, hence me not spending the hard earned on new hubs.
The hawkeye is a good buy and I keep mine in the car all the time. The mrs even knows how to use it

The rear sensor looked worn on mine but the front one looked knackered there was a bit of an hole forming in the center.
