Hi

I had my centre console out and to do this disconnected the hand brake by popping the clevis pin out but since putting back together the button does not return forward without a good clout. Any ideas? I've sprayed wd40 down there which helps a bit but something must be rubbing is there a simple way to take it all apart or just replace it?

when you pull lever right back rod from button to pawl can get bent a little ,undo cable and try bending rod with a screw driver or hook from under lever

Mine did this, exactly as james says bend the rod a bit if not you can also grind a little bit of the button off to make it slightly smaller

thanks for the help guys although just got in it this morning and it seems to be fine
