Right, before we start yes, I do know there is an essex laning thread a few posts below but I havent got a spare week to go through it all, I started and lost the plot quite quickly...

Anyway, me and a few friends have been off roading for about 6 months now, mainly pay and play days. We want to get into a bit of laning but dont just want to drive down the side of a field. I have seen plenty of pics on here of laning and alot of it looks good and challenging, fording e.t.c. so was wondering if people could point out to me where the better lanes are around this area? If not can you let me know where I can get this info from?

Look on trailwise or go buy a OS map of the area as byways are marked on them. Quite a few lanes around the Braintree area have TROs this time of year so make sure you check that first as well.

thats brilliant, thanks for that. Have got maps on order but was worried about TRO's, didnt want to get caught where I shouldnt be...
