as above, need to get hold of a side window for it tho as the one is cracked.

also toilet wont flush, seems the leccy isnt pumping water to it dont even know how they work

and finally, fridge wont work, dunno if ive done something but it wont cool off on either gas 240 or battery!!!

and to keep this thread on topic, the rangey doesnt even know it is on the back, dunno how much it weighs but the car just rolls along as tho its not there!!!
 
Ratty was scrapping a pikey wagon not so long ago.

There is a water tank & pump in the cubby box below the toilet you push down on the knob that opens & closes the flap.

How long did you leave the fridge switched on for. A caravan fridge doesn't make any noise at all the only way to see if it's on is stick a thermometer in the fridge and leave it switched on. Also put ya hand at the vent outside and feel for the heat from the exhaust.
 
what make and model? i may have a window.. toilet flush works on 12v take the toilet roll holder out to access the 12v pump, does the fridge light on gas?
 
fridge lights on gas, had it lit for ages(bout 3 hrs mebbe) and on number 3, then it has the 240v 0 12v switch.

its a swift corvette, 4 bth. it was on fleebay and sold for 1020 but he was supposed to take it off, i paid 700, although theres no awning i reckon i got a bargain!!! a few bits and bobs to sort, especially the curtains cos they are mingin green but mother is handy with sewing machine!
 
measure the window u need i have some 80's and early 90's swift windows maybe a pic cos the profile changed from late 80's to 90's, if it stays lit on gas but doesnt get cold it may need regassing or it knackered

Next thing you'll be getting a transit (sorry, defender) with a flat-head screwdriver for the ignition key :rolleyes:
 
measure the window across the top where the ali strip is - across the bottom and the depth, measure the depth from the btm of the window to the top of the ali hinge at the top i have some windows same type, ur vans 1987 ish

thats a bit older than i thort!! it'll do tho till i can win the lotto!
 
Age is far less important than condition i had a 1979 6 berth i used to go away in, wasnt a very good advert for a caravan sales co tho lol
 
well its dry and, after a good fettle, clean. as i said, needs bits and bobs sorting but i wouldnt expect anything else for 700 quid, its a comfortable size(although cramped compared to the tent!) and her indoors is happy with it, so is the sprog!
 
After you've taken the engine out, you should have it sorted.
How much do you intend charging for a fistfull of pegs Gav !!!!
