Hi all

I managed to get my starter motor out of my 200 TDi. The sprocket is showing so it's obviously stuck with the solenoid "engaged", I have tried giving both terminals a +ve, but no joy!

Now I can't get the screws out to release the solenoid! They have had the heads wrecked. So, do I need to drill them out, or shall I just keep whacking it with a hammer until it turns?

If u are already there struggle a little and get within it.......better do a good job, clean it inside, check the contacts and grease the steam bearings too
