as the above says, i have been reading/looking at Busters thread regarding this.

is there any additional advice/tips i need to know before doing these, i am going to try to do at least one of them tomorrow anyway (if weather allows)

Just have a proper Torx bit, or a few of them as the screws are a bugger to shift if they haven't been moved before
Make sure there impact quality or you'll bust loads

Oher than that you should be able to do both in one day no problem, as you are not changing anything else, bearings etc.

you are putting one shot in I assume

other than that simple job

do you know what size the two torx bolts are

Torx headed bolts hold the bottom swivel pin in, but there is no need to remove it unless your replacing it, all the preload is done by the top pin .

If it's just the seal, it can be changed by cutting the old one off, then fit the new one with the cut at the top and a bit of sealant.

Some people see it as a bodge, but it saves a lot of time .

i want to also replace the bearings for the pins also, as i have a kit, any idea what size the torx bolts are, it mentions nothing in the rave CD about these

Can't remember the size, you can still change the bearings with the bottom pin in, just remove the top one then the lot drops down.

i need to get the bottom pin out presumably to change the bottom pin bearing ?

I left mine in, when the top pin is removed the swivel housing can be pulled forward and down, the bottom bearing will come out with it.

No you don't. The bearings top and bottom fit into the swivel housing.
