Ok, following on from another thread I will be fitting a reversing camera to always be on, will be fitting this to the 12v lighter line and doing it properly (so removing center console etc)

What I want y'all to do is give me a list of jobs to do
that require the center console out to do so I can get
them all done at once.

Currently on the list:

Replace worn Gaiters
Grease what can be greased in terms of shifters (it's an auto)
Replace rusty looking lighter socket

Anything else you guys can think of that would be a good idea
to do?

For reference this is a 300tdi auto 1998 ES

Yes, I do need to do that again (improved them with a quick clean but want to do them properly) cheers for the reminder!

I need to do mine too, drivers seat doesn't work on all the positions, rear wont go down to drop the seat fully

Gunna have a good look when I pull the console out as I am looking for a good spot to put in a basic toolbox but ideally want it out of public view and without ruining our good interior so possibly under the big storage pod.

That was one thought but may actually do both just to create more storage space to be honest. (Need to leave one dickie seat in as got 3 big dogs and may need to sit in the back on emergency vet trips)

Was going to use that idea as a practice in metalworking (cutting and welding) and literally make a box to fit in. :)
