I am removing a factory fit Alpine XQD101430LNF from a 1999 model with the Harman Kardon amp speaker set up. Firstly what does the secondary mini ariel lead do located next to the main ariel input? Secondly my new Kenwood KDC BT48DAB can connect to the oem steering remote however believe it may require some type of additional wiring apator, if so which one?

There are two aerial amplifiers in this particular Disco 2 set up. The standard size aerial plug is from the FM aerial amp and the smaller one is for the AM amp.
To get all the outside kit working there is a wire called "System enable" which is a 12 volt output which has to be connected up too.
