Still not 100% happy with my donkey so gonna change it then rip it apart while running a 2nd hand engine.
Trouble is, there seems to be more THOR engines about than GEMS engines. Is it just a case of swapping the inlet manifold then away I go or would it just drop in and run as is?

no you will need change the front plate also the crank senser, i did it other way round as could not find a thor engine.

Also the sump but jjust keep the one you have

Cheers lads.
Seen a few THOR engines, all seem to be around £600 - £750 plus a couple of claimed rebuilt units around £1200.
Gonna go the cheap option and give myself peace of mind rebuilding my own (except a 4.6 sounds tempting!!!)
