Hi
I ordered a throttle heater gasket / repair kit supposedly for all p38 v8 models but I'm assuming there must be a difference between the Thor throttle heater and Gems as what arrived doesn't resemble what's attached to my plenum. Other than a main stealer does anyone know where I can source a gasket / replacement for my badly leaking throttle heater.
Thanks

It's the one I bought from coincidently the same website. The one on my plenum is much larger with 4 bolts and two pipes which looks similar which is how I made the mistake. The coolant is flowing out the rear bolts on mine. After my heater o-ring replacement I thought my coolant leak problems were over but I'm glad I've found this leak as I was terrified I had a slipped liner as the coolant level was still dropping. I was thinking of using as a gasket until I could slice a replacement.

Hmmm - I'd give them a call on Monday and see if they have an alternative version (ie. your type hopefully) they can swap for the one you've got.

Didn't see anything throttle pre-heater related on Island 4x4's site (Paddocks and the rest sell pretty much the same sort of stuff as Island, so I'm not sure they'd have anything either - but I'm too lazy to check!)

So may have to be Land Rover? But although my experience is they are expensive, for something recently they actually turned out to be pretty much the cheapest...so may not be the end of the world...

Thanks for your help Malcolm its appreciated. I need to go to landrover any way to pick up some new trim fasteners post dashboard removal / refit. I will probably wait until payday and then bite the bullet and take the hit. Until then I think I'll rebuild with my makeshift gasket idea.
